You may very well be sleeping with the enemy.

Who is the Enemy?

He's called a dust mite and we'll spare you trying to remember or even pronounce the scientific name.  These little creatures, not visible to the naked eye, and in fact, they're so small that as many as 1000 of them could be placed on the head of a pin.  The feces and dead bodies of mites are allergens to susceptible people, causing asthma, rhinitis or dermatitis.

Enemy by the Thousands!

Dust mites live in household fabrics, such as furniture and carpets. Millions may inhabit one home, but they are invisible to the human eye. The dust mite feeds on shed dead skin cells.

And guess where their favorite breeding spot is?

Yes, that's right. . . the mattress.

Facts About Dust Mites

The mattress is the ideal home for dust mites because it's warm, often moist, cozy, easy to burrow into and full of their favorite flakes! -the skin flakes that every human being sheds every single day of their life, no matter what their age, sex or state of health.

  • Dust Mites can't be vacuumed away.
  • They can live without food for up to a year.
  • We shed 10,000 million scales of bacteria laden skin each day,
most end up in our mattresses.
  • Dust mites produce 200 times its body weight in excrement
    during their normal life span..
  • Dust mites feast for up to 170 days on our shed skin.
  • Dust mites spread rapidly. A female dust mite lays 300 eggs.

Hygientech System

There's only one safe, chemical free way to clean and sanitize a mattress properly, the Hygienitech® way. Our equipment is state of the art and our service and support is unparalleled.

Hygienitech's® Mattress Cleaning System is based on a powerful, specially engineered portable bedding cleaning device that generates incredible suction and high frequency pulsating waves, combined with a germ killing UV-C light* to pulverize and extract the dust mites and other harmful debris that have accumulated in the mattress.

The older the mattress is, the worse the contamination. And it doesn't matter how often you change the sheets or even if you've tried vacuuming the mattress yourself, there could be millions of dust mites along with other harmful bacteria and contaminants deeply embedded. We use HYGIENTECH- It's how to clean a mattress!

Death to the Dust Mite

*UV-C LIGHT is germicidal - i.e., it deactivates the DNA of bacteria, viruses and other pathogens and thus destroys their ability to multiply and cause disease. Specifically, UV-C light causes damage to the nucleic acid of microorganisms by forming covalent bonds between certain adjacent bases in the DNA. The formation of such bonds prevent the DNA from being unzipped for replication, and the organism is unable to reproduce. In fact, when the organism tries to replicate, it dies.

Peace of Mind

The scientifically proven Hygienitech® Mattress Cleaning and Sanitizing process is an all-natural, chemical-free, dry treatment procedure that effectively removes and destroys dust mites, fungal spores, bacteria and other harmful debris found in all mattresses.

It is a completely non-invasive and totally safe and effective way to disinfect any mattress, regardless of its age, size or style. The process we have developed is merely an extension of the same methods that the medical profession has been using for many years.

Like many medical breakthroughs, Europe has led the way in bringing this safe, chemical-free, dust mite and allergen eliminating process to the people. Europeans have been cleaning and sanitizing mattresses for years. Today, there are more than 4000 European dealers performing tens of thousands of mattress cleaning and sanitizing services every week. This explains why they don't have(or need) as many Allergy Doctors per capita as we have in the U.S.

While relatively new, through our promotional efforts and the affiliations we are forging with various healthcare organizations, it will not be very long before the entire country recognizes that a clean mattress can make a tremendous difference in the way we feel.

You Need to Know

Additional Information

  • Recent studies have shown that exposure to house dust mite allergens is asignificant risk factor for the development of allergic diseases, such an asthma and rhinitis (hay fever). According to Dr. Zeldin, on the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS)

  • Results from an earlier study suggest that over 45% of U.S. homes, or approximately 44 million dwellings, have bedding with dust mite allergen concentrations that exceed a level that has been associated with allergic sensitization. We estimated that 22 million homes have bedding with dust mite allergen concentration at a level that can trigger asthma in susceptible people. So we were eager to test ways to reduce these troublesome substances.
  • According to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), dust mites are the #2 cause of allergy problems (topped only by Pollen). There are likely millions of them in your home.
